On November 8th, in coordination with the Best Western – Sally Port Inn and Suites, we completed the 59th Desk and Derrick Industry Appreciation Banquet. The floor plan was coordinated with the Desk and Derrick Club board members and Sally Port management in an effort to provide the club with the most appropriate layout possible. The club’s colors of black and gold and the theme of “an elegant dinner” were used as the basis of the evening’s design.
Twincorner art + design covered the banquet chairs in white covers and black organza sashes. On top of the Sally Port’s white table cloths we placed gold organza and black napkins with a gold, black and glass centerpiece. Within the centerpiece we placed a yellow rose, black rock and topped it with a large floating candle. We also placed medium-sized votives and candles to add to the tables’ appeal. At the head table we placed similar centerpieces as well as large black porcelain and glass lanterns on either side of the speaker’s podium.
Twincorner also provided a banquet poster and lighted poster frame near the entry table, as well as a display area for the club’s six-foot tall oil derrick. In the rear of the room we place one of our four-foot wide white turntables and placed the clubs black derrick on top. With the addition of new LED lights and a slowly rotating base, the derrick provided a wonderful sense of movement to the room. At each place setting we also set out programs and books, which were provided by the Desk and Derrick Club.
All in all the event went very smoothly and we look forward to working with the Desk and Derrick Club as well as the Sally Port again.
